How They Did It: The Admit One Showroom

As the CEDIA judges made their remarks in the process of determining a winner in this category, Admit One’s showroom was found to have “great demonstration areas for custom integration in the home … [And the] scale and size matches high-end clients’ homes.”

Simply put: A visitor to the showroom doesn’t need to make much of leap to visualize the displays in their own living space.

The dedicated theater space in this 8,000-square-foot display space includes a Stewart Filmscreen Director’s Choice screen that expands to a width of 20 feet and can shift sizes and aspect ratios to help a customer see their choices. The display is complemented by a Sony 4K laser projector and a JBL Synthesis system surrounding the room’s 14 seats.

A larger area of the showroom features a six-screen video wall along with other displays and three surround-sound zones.

The floor has been effective. Although the theater alone has been outfitted with more than $400,000 worth of gear, Admit One estimates they’ve closed at least $2.75 million in home cinema projects alone by using the theater as a sales tool. “Our showroom started out being a go-to destination for a client who wanted to see what a six-figure theater looks like,” says the integrator. “We consider our theater room to be uncontested in quality and size in our market.” While that’s still the primary focus of the business, Admit One has expanded their showroom to effectively match client demands.

This project also took the nod for Best Dressed Rack in the 2016 CEDIA Awards.
