CEDIA staff recently met with representatives from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI)
to develop 2014-2015 collaborative networking and education opportunities for both associations' members.
Along with my colleague Peggy Ward, I met with NARI Executive Vice-President Mary Bewsey Harris and NARI volunteer Chris Wright, CR President, WrightWorks LLC and President, Central Indiana.

During this meeting it was decided that CEDIA will identify education courses that NARI has in their library that could be offered to CEDIA members. Cross-industry education was also discussed, including NARI's "The Value of Working with a NARI Member" course.
Additionally discussed was NARI's first-time-ever provision of education at CEDIA EXPO September 10-13, 2014 in Denver. This course will highlight “the state of the remodeling industry" and various ways for CEDIA members to work more effectively with these vital industry partners.
CEDIA has enjoyed a mutually beneficial collaboration with NARI since 2008. Reciprocal education has proven to be one of the most valuable elements of this partnership. CEDIA has provided numerous education sessions to NARI members on both local and national levels and the two organizations have worked together on research projects, cross-industry events, and legislative issues.
The partnership also boasts a steering committee, The Remodeling and Home Technologies Council (RHTC). This team is composed of an equal number of CEDIA and NARI members and meets monthly to discuss ways to bring CEDIA and NARI members together.
Our partnership with NARI is just one of many ways CEDIA is working to build connections that help CEDIA members and industry partners work together more efficiently and successfully.
