Meet the 2013 Randy Vaughan Memorial Scholarship Winners
CEDIA Education FoundationThe CEDIA Education Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of the second annual Randy Vaughan Memorial Scholarship. Announced at CEDIA EXPO 2013, these students met the requirements and hold the special qualities the CEDIA Education Foundation is looking for to represent the program.
Let’s get to know this year’s recipients.
Cody will be a 4th semester student at Madison Media Institute. He is an excellent student in the classroom and the shop. He recently started working part time for Automation Arts in Middleton, Wisconsin. Automation Arts, a veteran CEDIA member, held interviews with many of the students from Cody’s class and has employed three Madison Media Institute alumni. Cody’s outstanding attention to detail will be a valuable addition to the A/V and low voltage industry. He is very excited about the Randy Vaughan Memorial Scholarship and was excited about attending his first CEDIA EXPO.
Joshua will be a 4th semester student at Madison Media Institute. He is an extremely hard worker spending great amounts of additional time in the computer lab working on his design projects in DTools. Joshua is currently awaiting word on his employment with the Pyle Center, a University of Wisconsin multi-media facility. Originally Joshua considered a different program at MMI but ultimately decided to enroll in EAV (Electronic and Audio Visual Systems). Joshua has a lot to offer the A/V and low voltage industry and will surely be one to watch in the industry.
The Randy Vaughan Memorial Scholarship was established to honor CEDIA 2010 Board of Directors Chairman Randy Vaughan. The scholarship was created to provide high school seniors and college undergraduates an opportunity to receive financial aid to begin or continue their post-secondary education in technology, electronic systems, or engineering. CEDIA would like to extend a hearty congratulation to Joshua and Cody.
