Class Information Details

Proper design documentation is needed for successful project communication and installation. This course teaches the importance of complete and accurate design documentation. Notable content includes the usage of floor plan symbols in layout drawings, the interpretation of architectural drawings and terminology, and the process and methodology used to create and engineer project documents.

At the end of the course you should be able to:

  • Identify drawing types; site plans, foundation plans, floor plans, elevations, section drawings, electrical plans, etc.

  • Apply floor plan symbols through proper symbol identification and device placement

  • Describe the process and methodology used in creating design and engineer project documents

  • Interpret the schematic diagram components; the connection paths, source devices, and output display devices

This eCourse consists of an in-depth lecture of course content segmented in small, organized chunks and married with additional material. Types of material in this course include:

A post-assessment test is included. At least a 70% is needed in order to receive CEUs.
