Member Classifications

CEDIA Membership is a company membership, and each employee is considered a CEDIA Member and may take advantage of the member benefits listed on our website. Membership is renewed annually with the second year prorated based on the month you joined. CEDIA offers seven different membership categories that support the electronic systems industry.

Residential Electronic Systems Contractor – Provisional Level:

The Provisional level of membership was created for those companies who have been in business less than two (2) years and/or do not have anyone CEDIA Certified. If your company is engaged substantially in the design and /or installation of electronic systems this is the membership category you would apply for.

Residential Electronic Systems Contractor – Full Membership Level:

Full membership is available to those who engage substantially in the design and /or installation of electronic systems, have been in business for at least 2 years, and have at least one (1) CEDIA Certified employee on staff. CEDIA Certification is a requirement for this membership level and must be maintained to keep full membership and the benefits that this provides.

Manufacturers:

Manufacturer members receive full benefits of the association and their dues are based on their annual revenue within the custom electronic channel.

Industry-Related Professions:

This category was created for those companies who touch on the field of custom electronic design and installation such as trade magazines, or other media, schools, associations, architects, builders, building designers, or interior designers. These members need not directly supply goods or services to the industry.

Professional Services:

Professional Service members are any individual or business entity whose endeavors touch on the field of custom electronics design and installation, but do not engage in selling products for resale. These members offer a wide array of services such as marketing, advertising, website or graphic design, to name just a few.

Distributors:

Distributor members receive full benefits of the association and their dues are based on the annual revenue within the custom electronics channel.

Sales Representatives:

Sales representative members receive full benefits of the association.
