About the Issue

The California Energy Commission (CEC) wants to regulate the power consumption of all televisions sold in California. The CEC has defined custom home theater televisions as those greater than 58” in size. CEDIA and the Californians for Smart Energy coalition are preparing for a CEC Energy Efficiency Committee public hearing on the proposed mandate.
