Philadelphia City Council Hearing - Postponed

CEDIA was notified this afternoon the public hearing scheduled for Legislative File No. 060959 for Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. has been POSTPONED.

CEDIA will continue to monitor the status of the legislation and the rescheduled date for the public hearing.

Legislative File No. 060959 is an ordinance amending Title 9 of the Philadelphia Code, entitled “Regulation of Businesses, Trades, and Professions,” by adding a new Chapter entitled “Certified Electricians and Telecommunications Technicians.”  This will require certain licensing of persons performing work on electrical and telecommunications systems, under certain terms and conditions.
