Full Time -
Position Summary: Responsible for accurate and effective management of all projects from start to completion. Responsible for technician support in the field and technical programming of security and automation systems. Occasional field work is required.

• Ability to interact with company personnel, vendor contacts, and customers with the ability to present Westco Security & Technology in a professional manner.
• Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to effectively communicate both in an oral and written manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Technical Programming:
o Programming and downloading of security panels for technicians in the field
o Learn Honeywell automation (Total Connect), 2GIG automation (Alarm.com), HAI (Leviton) automation and other security panels as required
o Learn programming and installation best practices for audio and automation systems. Product lines to learn include but are not limited to Russound, Nuvo, Sonos, Autonomics, URC Total Control, Lutron RadioRa2, Lutron Caseta, Leviton Omni Automation, Z-Wave and ZigBee Technologies
o Learn and understand home networking. Be able to design, install, and configure a reliable whole home network that includes router set-up, WAP placement & configuration, switch configuration, port forwarding and other technologies as required
o Attend manufacture trainings and take online training & webinars to keep up with industry changes
o Become ESA certified and keep up with required yearly CEU’s to maintain certification
• Technician Support:
o Assist with product installation and troubleshooting as required
o Support in technical troubleshooting with the technicians
o Work with technicians on maintaining truck stock and vehicle maintenance
• Project Management:
o Communicate with the office staff on where projects are at in the installation process from start to completion. This is a top priority.
o Check in equipment as it arrives from vendors and work with the Director of Operations on managing warehouse inventory
o Help maintain warehouse area in a neat & orderly fashion.
• Customer Support:
o Assist with resolution of customer issues for our entire product line
o Participate in the on call technician rotation to assist with after hour customer issues as necessary
Other Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist with scheduling service requests as needed
• Phone support as required
• Coordinate with staff to schedule and assign daily installations and service calls.
