Job Description:

Full Time - Reporting to the Director Southern Asia, the Area Sales Manager will be responsible for growing revenue within a defined territory with Control4 Dealer recruitment, support, and management. The Area Sales Manager will have financial targets and will be expected to establish and grow the customer base in the territory in order to exceed those targets.

Itemized Description of Duties:

  • The Area Sales Manager will be required to travel as much as 50% of the time. While traveling, duties will include finding & qualifying new dealers, supporting and developing existing dealers on both a business and technical level to optimize their performance.
  • The Area Sales Manager will need to be able to present the Control4 vision and story to dealers, distributors, and home-owners in a professional, articulate & persuasive manner.
  • The Area Sales Manager will be required to assess dealer capabilities and work with ownership to put in place development plans to shore up weaknesses which affect our business with each dealer.
  • The Area Sales Manager will be required to develop and maintain an effective Area sales plan of advancing product adoption, dealer performance and geographic coverage.
  • The Area Sales Manager will also need to understand the technical functionality of the Control4 equipment and be able to assist on-site when necessary with installation problems.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Needed Skills:

  • Previous experience with Control4 or other automation products
  • Proven track record as an Area Sales Manager in achieving significant revenue growth with exceeding quarterly and annual revenue targets of a channel-based technology business.
  • Customer Service oriented
  • IP Networking experience
  • Business leadership skills
  • Presentation skills
  • Skilled in creative problem solving, critical thinking, and organizing resources, and people to solve problems
  • Must be fluent in English and main language of city where candidate resides.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office productivity tools.
  • Proven ability to work with people of varied backgrounds to achieve objectives

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must reside in Melbourne.
  • College bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Prior consumer electronics or retail sales experience
  • Able to travel 50%
  • Able to obtain or currently hold a passport for international travel
  • Possess solid business judgement in assessing business
  • A passion for consumer electronics
