CEDIA University’s Online Certification Program Now Available
E-learning offers accessible certification, reduces travel expense
Indianapolis, Ind. –The Custom Electronic
Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) has announced that CEDIA
certification is now available online for the first time. In more than
50 locations across the United States, Installer I and Installer II
Certifications exams are now offered online at secure, proctored facilities,
giving students the option to earn certification closer to home. Testing
is available by appointment through CEDIA University registration.
“With
this new e-learning component of CEDIA University, time away from the
office and travel expenses are less of a challenge,” said Margaret
Sheehan, senior director of professional development. “This will boost
CEDIA’s certification results as well as the reputation of its
curriculum.”
“This new program will also help companies raise the standard
of excellence for their employees,” Sheehan said. “Members
will find their employees’ performance and the resulting profits
will increase considerably with CEDIA Certified Professionals. It is
truly easier
than ever to obtain the coveted CEDIA certifications and meet the new
membership requirements”
With this new initiative, CEDIA University
is further enhancing its industry-leading platform for instruction
and learning. Online-certification
demonstrates CEDIA’s mission to advance the industry and assist
members in growing their businesses and profits. CEDIA is an international
trade association of companies that specialize in designing and installing
electronic systems for the home. The association
was founded in September 1989 and has more than 3,000 member companies
worldwide. CEDIA members are established and insured businesses with
bona fide qualifications and experience in this specialized field.
