Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association to
donate electronics to Motivate Our Minds
Indianapolis, Ind. – – The Custom
Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) will donate
top-of-the-line training equipment to Motivate our Minds (MOM), a non-profit
organization in Muncie, Ind.
MOM is an after-school tutoring and enrichment
program designed to help elementary and middle school students achieve
academic and personal
success. In a non-threatening environment, students can build self-esteem,
develop character and learn valuable life skills. MOM provides after-school
extra-curricular activities for children grades one through eight.
CEDIA
will be donating products from its members including a Runco International
projector, a Stewart film screen and other electronic
equipment to help MOM in the learning process.
“CEDIA is pleased to take part in an organization
like MOM,” said
Ray Lepper, CEDIA president. “With professional-quality training
equipment, the children will have a better opportunity to learn and
reach their goals.”
Along with CEDIA, Oprah Winfrey and Ball State
students are taking part in MOM’s mission. MOM has recently embarked
on an expansion campaign to improve both the facility and services.
CEDIA’s equipment
will be used in the new media room being created.
