One company will introduce new software that utilizes robotic devices to load CDs and DVDs into burners, and then automatically organizes the source material by genre and more.

Market Trends: Generating some buzz prior to the show this year is high-definition transmission. Several manufacturers are launching products with technology that sends hi-def signals over 1000 feet utilizing Cat-5 wire.

More and more audio manufacturers are producing high-end speakers specific to installed configurations. In the works for this year’s EXPO are several new systems designed specifically for flat panel TV applications, fully-powered hybrid electrostatic speakers, and a THX Ultra2 in-ceiling system with an in-ceiling subwoofer.
