CEDIA Unveils Newly Enhanced Career Center
Resume and job listing database will connect job candidates with hiring companies; free for members in 2010
INDIANAPOLIS (January 13, 2010)—Job-seekers and employers in the electronic systems industry now have a new option for making much-needed connections. The Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) has launched a newly enhanced online Career Center that will help connect hiring companies with electronic systems professionals.
The revamped Career Center will allow both CEDIA member companies and non-members to post job openings and browse for candidates. Postings remain visible for 60 days. Employers can search resumes based on criteria such as location and desired position. Member companies will receive free access in 2010.
The Career Center will also allow individuals to post resumes and view open positions. Posted resumes will remain searchable by employers for 60 days. Users can search job postings by criteria such as position, location, and experience level. Job-seekers receive free access to the service.
“In this economy, it’s more important than ever to connect the right job candidates with the right positions,” said Cathy Lane, CEDIA’s director of membership development. “The CEDIA Career Center provides a valuable service to the industry by helping make these connections faster.”
CEDIA’s user-friendly Career Center offers a cost-effective way for industry businesses to strengthen their workforce in a competitive market. It complements CEDIA’s full suite of tools for building a better business, from business curriculum and training to the CEDIA Idea Bank and CEDIA Crosspoint. Users have the advantage of accessing CEDIA’s exclusive audience of residential electronic systems professionals.
The CEDIA Career Center may be found at www.cedia.org/career_center.
