CEDIA Management Conference to Focus on Refining Business Strategy
Conference will help attendees adapt their operations to compete in a changing environment
INDIANAPOLIS (February 11, 2011)—The Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) will give electronic systems contractors a chance to boost their business skills next month during its annual Management Conference. The event will be held March 9–12 at the Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego, and will focus on helping industry companies build strategies for thriving in an evolving business environment.
Ongoing changes in the economy and the electronic systems industry have led experts to declare that the old way of doing business is over. To help industry professionals adapt to these changes, CEDIA’s Management Conference will offer expert-led sessions targeting business strategy, effective personnel management, and efficient project execution. The conference will include keynote presentations, education sessions, a group session, and a panel discussion.
Highlights include:
- An education session from Richard Millson of Millson Multi-Media Inc. focusing on tips for efficient project execution that attendees can implement immediately upon returning to work
- A session led by Jody Johnson of ActionCOACH outlining six key initiatives for building a successful team
- A session designed to help attendees build a road map for getting from their current business situation to their desired one, presented by Marwan Moubarak of Federal Technologies
- A keynote presentation from Tim Costello of Builder Homesite, Inc., covering strategic planning and finding the path forward in light of “the new normal” in today’s economic landscape
- Opening and closing keynote presentations from motivational speaker and inspirational comedian Judson Laipply, who will offer tips on shifting from a reactive approach to a proactive one using the SMART goals design
“CEDIA’s Management Conference is an intensive business education opportunity that allows every attendee to learn from both their peers and the expert presenters,” said CEDIA Chairman Randy Stearns. “This year’s event will help electronic systems contractors adapt their businesses to respond to changes in the economy and the industry.”
