CEDIA to Release New Market Research Report in Fourth Quarter
Preliminary findings shed light on size of residential electronic systems market
INDIANAPOLIS (September 8, 2011) – The Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) has released preliminary data from a new CEDIA market research report that will be available in the fourth quarter of 2011. The new report, Size and Scope of the Residential Electronic Systems Market in the US©, will feature data on the characteristics of companies working within the residential electronics systems industry in the U.S.
The report will reveal the current number of installation companies in the industry, the size of the workforce, trends, forecasts, and the economic impact of the industry. The report is an expansion of CEDIA’s research offerings, which are designed to provide CEDIA members, industry businesses, media, and other key stakeholders with market data that will enable them to make better business decisions.
CEDIA’s Size and Scope of the Residential Electronic Systems Market in the US© report will offer details on the state of the industry as well as current opportunities and threats. Preliminary survey findings have revealed that there are between 10,500 and 11,500 electronic systems contractor companies (Custom Retailer/AV Installer/Integrator) in the United States. The average 2010 gross revenue of all respondents was $1.6 million.

CEDIA’s goal is to provide this report on an annual basis. Top-level information from the first report will be published in the fourth quarter of 2011. Additional research efforts will expand into the global market.
