CEDIA University Education to be Delivered at Capitol Sales Learning Institute™ – Regional Outreach Events Across the U.S.
Six education events scheduled in 2009
Indianapolis, IN (December 5, 2008) – Accessible and affordable education is one of CEDIA’s mainstays in keeping its members abreast of the latest knowledge and techniques in the electronic systems integration industry. In 2009, CEDIA University will offer a range of curriculum for electronic systems professionals including over 80 manufacturer product training sessions in partnership with Capitol Sales Company at six of their Learning Institute™ – Regional Outreach events across the United States.
Electronic systems professionals will have access to a variety of courses focusing on the electronic systems technician and designer colleges as well as CEDIA certification. In addition the program will offer over 15 continuing education units, which is half of what is needed in a three year period for CEDIA certified individuals to keep their certification active.
“Partnering with Capitol Sales Learning Institute™ gives our members and the industry a convenient and cost-effective way to obtain CEDIA education at the same time as learning from some of the industry’s leading manufacturers,” said Michael Creeden, CEDIA education content action team chairman. “CEDIA will continue to foster similar partnerships in order to bring the best possible education and training opportunities to our members in their area.”
Like CEDIA, Capitol Sales has played a visible role in providing training and education to the dealer community throughout their 34-year history. Their annual Dealer Education Training Showcase has enjoyed over a decade of continuous growth and success.
“As a long time dedicated supporter of CEDIA and its mission to raise the bar of professionalism for systems contracting companies, we are proud to have CEDIA join forces with us as a key partner in our effort to reach a broader community of residential installation professionals,” said Capitol Sales President & CEO Curt Hayes. “This much sought after mix of manufacturer training, CEDIA University education and certification is much desired on a regional level. Capitol Sales is pleased to offer it to the dealer community once again.”
Registration for the first CEDIA University on the Road at Capitol Sales Learning Institute™ – Regional Outreach event, scheduled for April 19–21 in Seattle, Wash., will open in January 23. Registration information and future event dates and locations are available at www.cedia.org/cediau. Questions regarding CEDIA University on the Road education and training may be directed to Jill Voliva at jvoliva@cedia.org.
