CEDIA Announces 2011 Fellows
Three longtime members to be honored at CEDIA EXPO 2011, joining past inductees in exclusive Fellows program

INDIANAPOLIS (August 18, 2011)—The Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) has announced the 2011 inductees into its prestigious Fellows program, which honors longtime CEDIA members and volunteers who have contributed significantly to the association’s success.

The 2011 honorees join past inductees from 2010 and 2009. The 2011 inductees will be recognized at the annual Electronic Lifestyles® Awards Banquet at the Indiana Roof Ballroom Sat., Sept. 10 during CEDIA EXPO 2011.

“The CEDIA Fellows represent an elite group that has helped shape the industry and association into what it is today,” said CEDIA CEO Utz Baldwin. “We are proud to recognize these individuals and thank them for their contributions to the industry.”

Rich Green
Rich Green has been active in the A/V industry since 1978. He is recognized as one of the foremost A/V system designers, having worked with such prominent clients as Gene Siskel, Roger Ebert, Rush Limbaugh, Larry Ellison, and Steve Jobs. Rich has also consulted with numerous Silicon Valley technology companies in product development and market strategy. Rich has been an active member of CEDIA for years, having served as a subject matter expert, CEDIA Certified Instructor, Certification Council Chair, Technology Council Chair, and a member of CEDIA’s Board of Directors.

Maureen Jenson
Maureen Jenson is the Editor-in-Chief of CustomRetailer Magazine. She is also the editor of E-Gear magazine and CEDIA’s Electronic Lifestyles® magazine. Maureen has been in the consumer electronics industry for two decades.

During her many years in the consumer electronics industry, she has been the editor-in-chief of Audio Video Interiors, Stereophile Guide to Home Theater, and Home Theater magazines. These publications have helped to drive and highlight the industry to both the lay-person and the electronics enthusiast.

In addition, she was the co-host for two seasons of HGTV’s “That’s Home Entertainment” and has done countless presentations on TV and radio on consumer technology and how seamlessly it can be integrated into the home environment.

Dr. Floyd E. Toole
Dr. Toole is a pioneer in the field of acoustics research with more than 40 years of experience in the industry. Dr. Toole launched his career when the industry was in its infancy and moved on to become a renowned authority on the measurement and understanding of sound quality. His research has focused on small-room acoustics and evaluating the relationship between technical measurements of audio equipment and listeners’ perceptions. His findings have been applied to loudspeaker design and manufacturing and have influenced his work as a CEDIA University subject matter expert and course developer. Now retired, he is an acoustical consultant and continues to contribute to CEDIA University course development and instruction. Dr. Toole was also honored as the CEDIA Lifetime Achievement Award Winner in 2008.
