CEDIA EXPO 2007 Tops 29,000 Attendees
Growth continues for nation’s number one residential electronic systems trade show
INDIANAPOLIS (September 12, 2007) – More than 29,000 professionals from the residential electronic systems industry attended CEDIA EXPO 2007 held in Denver last week, according to Don Gilpin, executive director of the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA). The trade show’s record-breaking attendance is about a four percent increase over last year’s figures.
“We are indeed pleased that CEDIA EXPO continues to be the premiere trade show for the residential electronic systems industry,” Gilpin said. “Even at a time when negative housing trends and economic concerns could have forced many in the industry to stay home, CEDIA EXPO increased in size again.”
Ken Erdmann, chairman of CEDIA EXPO and owner of Erdmann Electric, Inc. in Springville, Utah, said this year’s event marks a new level of success for the 18-year-old trade association.
“CEDIA EXPO has proven its value in the marketplace by continuing o be relevant to a wide range of electronic systems professionals,” Erdmann said. “From the new technician to the seasoned designer or business owner, CEDIA EXPO offers experiences that simply cannot be found elsewhere.”
Winners of CEDIA’s Electronic Lifestyles® Awards—the industry’s most prestigious awards program—were announced at a banquet during the EXPO trade show. The Electronic Lifestyles® Awards include honors for the five “best new products” on the trade show floor, outstanding CEDIA members, and excellence in the design and installation of residential electronic systems.
