CEDIA EXPO continues to grow in attendance with 2005 event
More than 26,000 attendees gather in Indianapolis for annual
EXPO
Indianapolis, Ind. – The Custom Electronic
Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) has announced that more
than 26,000 custom electronics professionals convened Sept. 7-11 at
the Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome in Indianapolis for CEDIA
EXPO 2005. This year’s overall attendance was the largest in
EXPO’s 16-year history.
CEDIA EXPO 2005, the only show that meets
the specialized needs of the residential custom electronics industry,
recorded growth of more
than 1,000 attendees over last year’s event. More than 500 exhibitors
occupied the Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome, as well as the
Indianapolis Marriott Downtown.
“CEDIA EXPO’s ongoing growth is good news for the custom
electronics industry,” said Billilynne Keller, executive director
of CEDIA. “This
year’s record attendance and our many new exhibitors are signs
of the growing demand in our industry for new technologies, education,
and information. We’re pleased we’re growing and drawing
more interest in our show.”
CEDIA EXPO 2006 will move to the Colorado
Convention Center in Denver, with show dates slated for Sept. 13-17.
EXPO Education runs Sept. 13-17
and the CEDIA EXPO trade show will be open Sept. 14-17, which includes
an additional day to accommodate the growing interest in EXPO specifically,
as well as the broader custom electronics industry. CEDIA is an international
trade association of companies that specialize in designing and installing
electronic systems for the home. The association
was founded in September 1989 and has more than 3,000 member companies
worldwide. CEDIA members are established and insured businesses with
bona fide qualifications and experience in this specialized field.
CEDIA members include Residential Electronics Systems Professionals
who have emerged as the “fourth contractor” in the building
and remodeling industries alongside electrical, plumbing and HVAC professionals.
