16th Street Mall
Denver’s 16th Street Mall Shuttle is recognized
as one of the must successful transit-way malls in the United
States, and continues to grow in popularity and use. 16th Street
is a mile and a half pedestrian mall and the run through the
core downtown area.
A fleet of over 30 shuttles carry shoppers, visitors,
and downtown workers along the length of the Mall, stopping
on every corner in each direction linked by two bus stations.
The shuttles operate seven days a week, free of charge. Monday
- Saturday the shuttle operates from 6:00 am until 1:00am,
and Sunday from 7:00am until 1:00am. During peak commuter hours
the shuttles stop on each corner every 70-90 seconds. All shuttles
are wheelchair accessible.
Convention delegates can benefit from the shuttles
as well. Although it does not reach all the way to the Colorado
Convention Center, it will get them within two blocks. From
any hotel in the downtown area, the shuttle is just 1-3 blocks
away. Once on the shuttle, delegates can get off on California
St. and the convention center is only two blocks due south.
Light Rail
Denver’s light rail services North and South commuter traffic to and
from the heart of downtown Denver. The light rail transports travelers from
the south line and stop at the Colorado Convention Center. Guests in Denver
hotels can simply walk to the 16th Street Mall and hop aboard the free shuttle
to the Union Station. From there, catch the C-line or the D-line. For more
