Onsite Strategies to Save on Drayage
Looking for ways to save money on drayage? Use these tips to help lower your drayage cost:
- POV’s - Are you driving in your own materials and have 8 pieces or less with a maximum weight of 250lbs? Click here to view the info on unloading, costs involved, and when the service is available.
- Small Shipments - Try to ship them all together in one shipment and save almost half of what you would pay if they were shipped separately.
- Advance Warehouse Shipments - Have your freight delivered after August 20th. Any freight arriving before August 20th will be charged an additional 30% per cwt.

Hanging Signs
Exhibitors in a 20'x20' or larger island booth where all sides of the booth are 20' or longer are approved to have hanging signs within the foot print of their booth space. The clearance from floor to the lighting banks on the ceiling is 30'.
Plan to pre-ship your sign separate from your other exhibitor materials to the advance warehouse for arrival prior to your target move-in date. This way, your sign can be hung in advance of freight arriving in your booth and will save you money on drayage.

The plans will be reviewed by the GWCC Engineering Department for approval. The exhibitor will be notified when the plans have been received, approved, or if they require changes.

Exhibitor Badge Registration
Registration for CEDIA EXPO 2010 is open! Click here to access the Exhibitor Registration through September 17th at 5:00 p.m. PST. Per 100 sq. ft. of exhibit space, each exhibitor will receive 4 complimentary Exhibitor Badges and Set-up Badges. Any additional badges needed over your complimentary allotment may be purchased online or onsite in Exhibitor Registration for $10 each.
BADGES ARE NOT MAILED prior to EXPO, but will be available in Exhibitor Registration, located in Lobby A/B, beginning September 20 at 8:00 a.m. Booth space must be paid in full in order to receive your badges. Click here for more information.

Enter the Attendees' Choice Awards
If you are a manufacturer exhibitor there is still time to submit your products for the Attendees’ Choice Award. Visit www.cedia.org/awards and submit your products on or before Friday, July 30. It's only $25 to submit a product and you can submit an unlimited number, as long as they are new for 2010. Electronic system contractor attendees will vote onsite during the tradeshow for their favorite new product, but you have to enter for your product to be considered. The winners of these categories as well as the Product Hall of Fame inductees will be announced at the CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles® Awards Banquet at CEDIA EXPO on Saturday, September 25. Space is limited at the banquet so make sure to purchase your ticket when you register for CEDIA EXPO. Early bird deadline is Friday, July 30 and ticket prices for the banquet will increase after that date.

Pre-Show Product Showcase
Build buzz and increase foot traffic to your booth before CEDIA EXPO even begins. The CEDIA Pre-Show Product Showcase is an interactive online resource for EXPO attendees to find out about your products in advance.
CEDIA Pre-Show Product Showcase product posting opens June 28, 2010 and goes live August 2 through October 2, 2010. All that is required is a JPG photo of the product(s), 50 words of copy per product, your EXPO booth number, your URL, and your appointment contact e-mail address.
