Around the world, Indianapolis’ name is synonymous with the very spirit of competition. With every structure we build, every event we stage, and every attraction we display, we set new national standards: always planning ahead for our next big opportunity – and consistently raising the game.
Indianapolis International Airport
The Col. H. Weir Cook terminal is now open at the new Indianapolis International Airport. The terminal boasts streamlined check-in and security screening areas, moving sidewalks and the spectacular Civic Plaza, which features stunning public art and new dining and retail offerings, many of them unique to Indy. The Indianapolis International Airport is conveniently located off of I-70 and is just a short 15-minute drive from downtown Indianapolis.
Indiana Convention Center
Indianapolis is on the verge of having one of the nation’s top 20 largest convention center complexes. The combination of the new multi-purpose Lucas Oil Stadium and an expanded Indiana Convention Center means Indianapolis will be able to offer 3.4 million square feet of exhibit and meeting space. The combined new space will make the Indiana Convention Center the nation’s 16th largest. It currently is 32nd. The Indiana Convention Center will have 566,600 square feet of exhibit space. The new exhibit halls are contiguous with the existing halls. Another 183,000 square feet is in Lucas Oil Stadium, which will be connected to the center via walkway.
Lucas Oil Stadium
Lucas Oil Stadium is a multi-use, all-weather venue that features a retractable roof. The stadium seats 63,000 for football games and other events and also features 12 meeting rooms. It will be connected to the Indiana Convention Center via a climate-controlled walkway.
Indianapolis' expanded convention center will be connected via skywalks to more hotel rooms than any other U.S. city-making an already-walkable city even more so.
