Our thoughts are with the family and friends of John (Dion) and Jennifer Longworth, who tragically lost their lives in an explosion that devastated their Indianapolis neighborhood last weekend. Dion was a member of the extended CEDIA family, most recently serving as the director of product development and technology for Indy Audio Labs, a CEDIA member company based in Indianapolis.
Dion also spent part of his career with Indianapolis-based CEDIA member company Klipsch as well as an Indianapolis-based startup called Stray Light Optical. Dion’s wife Jennifer is remembered as a dedicated second-grade teacher at a local elementary school. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the Longworths’ friends and family in this difficult time.
In memory of the Longworths, Indy Audio Labs worked with Dion and Jennifer’s families to establish an educational fund through the Central Indiana Community Foundation. The fund will assist in education scholarships and grants as well as community beautification projects. Calling on Sunday, Nov. 18 from 4-8 p.m. at Wilson-St. Pierre Funeral Home, Greenwood, Indiana (US 31 and Main Street).
Funeral Mass on Monday, Nov. 19 at 10 a.m. at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 8300 Rahke Road, Indianapolis.
