INDIANAPOLIS (February 27, 2017) - CEDIA has announced that Melbourne-based David Meyer has joined the CEDIA professional staff as the Director of Technical Curriculum. David is a 23-year veteran of the industry, having started out in photographics and imaging, moving into home cinema retail and custom installation, then product design, manufacturing, and distribution as founder of the Kordz Group. He's been a CEDIA volunteer for over ten years, serving as a Subject Matter Expert in connectivity (namely HDMI) and video, and has authored and presented numerous courses over his tenure.
"We worked with David last year on our successful three-part HDMI webinar series. As we started forming our strategy to expand our technical curriculum portfolio, bringing David onboard was a natural choice," said Dave Pedigo, VP of Emerging Trends.
In this new role with CEDIA, David will focus on updating and developing CEDIA's technical curriculum, provide his insight as an in-house subject matter expert, and serve as an instructor for face-to-face events in the Asia-Pacific region.
David is ISF and HAA (level 1) certified, he is also a HDBaseT Expert Installer. Additionally David is a member of the Audio Engineering Society (AES) and the Society of Motion Picture & Television Engineers (SMPTE).
