This course is ideal for both beginners and individuals looking to formalize their IP knowledge base.

This course covers the fundamentals of IP networks including the advantages and growth of IP networking; common network protocols (TCP, UDP, IP, DHCP, and NAT); and the appropriate steps of selecting, creating, installing, configuring, implementing, and documenting basic routers in a home network.

Before attending this course, students should have a working knowledge of basic computing fundamentals; typing, web browsing, and changing computer settings and command line access; simple math and basic logical reasoning; and cabling infrastructures.
